During his tenure with a Big Four firm, Claus played a leading role in tax strategy, governance, risk management, and technology. He collaborated with large Danish and international companies, as well as tax authorities, to establish practical and unified frameworks for managing tax effectively.

Recently, Claus has specialized in the development and implementation of Tax Governance strategies. His work includes designing governance frameworks with a risk-focused approach, integrating tax considerations into ESG reporting, and creating operational ecosystems to meet new tax legislative requirements. Additionally, he has been instrumental in optimizing operational tax outsourcing, clearly defining roles and responsibilities between in-house tax teams, global business services, and external service providers.
