During his tenure with a Big Four firm, Claus played a leading role in tax strategy, governance, setting standards for operating risk management, and use of technology in tax functions. He has collaborated with large Danish and international companies as well as tax authorities to establish practical and unified frameworks for managing tax efficiently, defining tax governance frameworks, setting up controls in tax compliance, reducing risks and delivering high quality tax compliance.

Recent implementations of Tax Governance strategies include designing governance frameworks with a risk-focused approach, integrating tax considerations into ESG reporting, and creating operational ecosystems to meet new tax legislative requirements.
